After a broken and jammed chained left me stranded on Hwy 12, the tow truck dropped me off on the Desert Doctor's doorstep at 7pm. I couldn't have been luckier. Terry fixed it over-night and had me back on my way at 9am the next morning. Terry is a kind soul and finds great pleasure in helping out us stranded souls.
He had a tire, on a Sunday. In the middle of Utah. In and out in 90 minutes. He had hot coffee. I could have spent hours bullshitting with him. Good dude.
Thanks to the Doc, my battery busted right in Escalante in the middle of a day ride. The Doctor had me back on the road in an hour. Has inventory unlike a lot of shops nowadays for consumable parts such as tires, batteries, etc. Excellent service. Even gave me a beer while he worked on the bike. Two thumbs up.
Friend and I were on motorbike trip and stopped for lunch in Escalante. The Dessert Doctor cruised up to say hello and gave us his card in case we needed some help on the trip. Decided to stop by the shop and get our chains tensioned after lunch. Super nice guy and its worth stopping by just to see his shop, lots of interesting pieces and the "tire wall" with his previous customers is pretty spectacular.
I woke up in Hanksville UT to a flat tire. I made it to the Desert Doctor. Terry replaced my valve stem and got me back on the road. I was skeptical at first not knowing what to expect. His shop is most interesting as are his stories about bikes he has repaired. He did a great job and I believe he is knowledgeable on repairing anything that that comes in his shop.
